What kind of mediator do you want to be?
The first question to consider on your mediation education journey is what kind of mediator you want to be. Some mediators are general practitioners and mediate various types of disputes, and others specialize and focus their practice on certain types of disputes. The reason this is important to consider before embarking on your mediation education journey is that there are different courses you should take depending on what kind of mediator you want to become.
What’s your preferred learning method?
Another question for you to consider is what your preferred learning method is. Some folks prefer online, self-paced learning because they can fit it into their hectic schedules, while others prefer the accountability of in-person, classroom learning. CommonSense Mediation Academy offers self-directed learning, in-person, and hybrid-style courses, so it is important to know your preferences so you can register for courses that will best facilitate your ability to complete the training you need.
